Uncut and raw are words that could be used to describe You Think You Know by Columbus, Georgia’s newest author, Fina. Just when you think you’re going to get something smooth, erotic, and sensual from an author whose outward appearance says “quiet and shy,” you come across a phrase that makes you wonder what happened to good old fashioned wholesome ladies. While it may be true that good old fashioned wholesome ladies exist, even in the most remote areas of the country, you will not find that in You Think You Know.
Fina’s book is complete with poems and short stories about couples, mistresses, and the occasional loner who just wants to watch others have fun. While Fina’s work may come off as strong and in your face, it does stand its own ground and keeps the reader’s attention via illustrative displays of both love and lust. This is a must-read for any lesbian or bisexual woman who believes that real intimacy doesn't have to be contained within the confines of tradition and pure lust doesn't have to be boring.

At the 2008 Black Gay Pride celebration in Atlanta, Fina attracted the attention of two very prominent figures in the GLBT community, J.L. King and Maurice Jamal.
J.L. King is the author of several books, including On the Down Low: A Journey Into the Lives of Straight Black Men Who Sleep With Men, Love on a Two-Way Street, and Coming Up from the Down Low: The Journey to Acceptance, Healing, and Honest Love. He was also a special guest on the Oprah Show and ignited a whole new look into being "on the down low."
J.L. King personally invited Fina to be 1 of 4 talented authors featured at the 2008 Atlanta Black Pride Literary Cafe hosted by The Lions Den and Traxx Atlanta at The Renaissance Hotel in Atlanta on August 28th.
Maurice Jamal is an actor, producer, director, and writer of the film, "The Ski Trip," which aired on the Logo channel. He also produced "Dirty Laundry" and "B-Boy Blues." Jamal is currently a cast member for a new tv series called "Friends and Lovers." During a recent book signing, Maurice Jamal complimented Fina for her style, the wonderful vibe that she has, and her new book. He went on to say that he hopes she continues whatever it is she's doing because it "works." He went on to invite her to a screening of his new endeavor on Logo and several other events.
